Wisconsin Bicyclist Struck, Killed in Northern Minnesota

HERMANTOWN (AP) - Police say a Wisconsin man was struck and killed by an SUV while riding a bicycle in a city outside Duluth.

The Hermantown Police Department says 44-year-old Richard Brill of Superior, Wisconsin, was killed in the crash Sunday afternoon. Police say Brill was riding on the shoulder of a Hermantown road when an SUV driving in the opposite direction crossed the center line and struck him.

According to police, Brill was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the SUV's driver, a 71-year-old man from Proctor, agreed to have his blood drawn for testing and was not arrested.

The Minnesota State Patrol is helping Hermantown police investigate the crash.
