Winter Gear and Family Fun at the North Country Winter Sports Show [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD - With fall here and winter right around the corner, the North Country Winter Sports Show is a perfect chance to check out all the best new winter gear.

Christian Medford, the coordinator of the event says the sports show hopes to get people excited about the upcoming winter activities.

"Before the snow flies and the ice freezes we want to get people excited about hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling. We have a lot of cool stuff based around that." Medford said.

The latest sleds, ice fishing gear, hunting apparel, clothing, snowmobiles, and performance products were a few of the many things on display at the sports show.

This is a family friendly event, with plenty of activities open to entertain kids.

"It's family friendly, we have a lot of stuff going on-bring the kids." Medford said.

The event goes through 9 p.m. this evening (Friday) and continues tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at the Rivers Edge Convention Center.
