WILLMAR (AP) - A national organization that exposes people who falsely claim military service says a Willmar man has been deceitfully posing as a decorated Army Ranger.

Willmar police have received complaints from citizens who were suspicious about a man who was showing up in a military uniform at VFW and American Legion posts in west central Minnesota recently.

The group Guardian of Valor was contacted and did some investigating. The organization said it found no military record for the man, 55-year-old Richard Rahn. Police executed a search warrant at Rahn's home and recovered a gun. Rahn was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Rahn has been convicted of burglary in Florida.

Rahn's public defender did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
