WILLMAR (AP) - Willmar's police chief says the officers assaulted by a man they were trying to arrest are doing fine.

Chief David Wyffles says they were attacked while trying to arrest the 23-year-old man Thursday afternoon. One of the officers was hit in the back of the head and was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital. A second officer suffered a cut and was also treated at the hospital. A third officer suffered a head injury while escorted the suspect to the squad car. He was not taken to the hospital.

The suspect was wanted in Yellow Medicine County for a court order violation.
