William H. Erickson, 78, of Pequot Lakes, MN died on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Essentia Health/St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. Services for William will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. A Reception will follow services at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room.

Bill was born on March 17, 1936 in Cloquet, MN. He attended Cloquet High School and graduated from The University of Minnesota-Minneapolis in 1958 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Business Management. He worked for 19 years with Hoerner-Waldorf Paper Company. William owned Point Narrows Resort on Upper Gull Lake for 3 years. He then worked for St. Joseph’s Medical Center for 17 years. He enjoyed sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings. William also liked fishing, yard work, traveling, and having campfires. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

William is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Bill (Maria) Erickson of Pequot Lakes, MN, Patti (Mel) Borchert of Big Lake, MN, Cathy (John) Sechser of Otsego, MN, and Tom Erickson of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Frances Rasen of Phoenix, AZ; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jeannette. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
