Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for William C. “Bill” Wade, who died Friday at the Country Manor Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, Sartell. Chaplain James Neppl will officiate and entombment will be in the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud. Friends and relatives may call after 9:00AM up until the time of services, Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud. Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Father Pierz Assembly will stand honor guard.

Bill was born in Marshall, MO. To the late Orville C. and Eva (Breashers) Wade. He married Mary Ann Kruchten January 31, 1953 in Independence, MO. William served in the Army Reserves National Guard for 23 years, serving in Missouri, Kansas and Minnesota for the last 15 years as the commissary officer at Camp Ripley. He was honorably discharged as a Major. He has been a resident of St. Cloud since 1955, where he was employed with Bankers Systems then as the Sales Manager for Park Press Co., Waite Park, retiring in 1994. Bill was very active in the Knights of Columbus where he served as Grand Knight for both the Knights of Columbus Little Falls Council #1804 and the Knights of Columbus St. Cloud Council #961 he earned Sir Knight of the year for both the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was honored as the State Knight of the year in 1985. He entered the Fourth Degree Hall of Fame in 1980. Bill was known as a prankster, but mostly his family and his faith were most important to him. He enjoyed being the party planner which put his organizational skills to use. He enjoyed playing cards, also golfing, where he achieved a hole in one.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann; son and daughter, Jim (Marj) Stillwater; Nancy (David) Fisher of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren, Eric (Ashley), Jessie, and Ali Wade, Bryan and Danny (Angie) Fisher; great grandchildren, Witten Fisher, Macy Fisher, and Ruby Wade He is also survived by his brother; Edwin (Wilma) Wade, of Evans, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Juanita Dametz and Chloetta Morrow.
