William 'Bill' David, age 83, of Foley, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Sunday at Foley Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the church. Parish Prayers will be held at 5 PM on Sunday followed by Duelm Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 PM. Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.

William Joseph David was born October 26, 1930 in Glendorado Township, Benton County, Minnesota to William and Mathilda (Brunn) David. He married Patricia Haley on April 10, 1951 at St. John's Catholic Church in Foley. Bill farmed in Glendorado Township his entire life. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, a trustee of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for 8 years, a school board member of District 128 and worked the St. Lawrence Parish Bazaar until he was 80 years old. He enjoyed auctions, collecting antiques, gardening, playing cards, working in his shop, having coffee with the guys in Santiago, Country music and the occasional trip to the casino.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; children: Marie (Ron) Herbst of Foley, Lynn Gleason of Bowlus, Dennis (Sally) of Foley, Deb (Dan) Ranweiler, Foley; Bill III of Clear Lake, Amy (Marc Johnson) David of Watford City, ND; siblings: Cecilia Ruhoff of Sartell, Eleanor Brambrink of Sauk Rapids, Ervin (Violet) of Foley and Agnes Hoffman of Pillager; sister-in-law, Myrtle David of Sauk Rapids; brothers-in-law: Richard Haley of Motley; Duane Dudek of Foley and Gene Denfield of Sauk Rapids; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bob on January 23, 2014; brother, Donald and sisters, Helen David and Kathryn Denfield.
