William “Bill” D. Hess, 52, St. Cloud

July 18, 1962 - March 23, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for William “Bill” D. Hess, age 52, who passed away Monday at his home. Rev. Ralph Zimmerman will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church.

Bill was born July 18, 1962 in St. Cloud to Willard & Harriet (Petron) Hess. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School, John XXIII Middle School, and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1981. Bill worked as a carpenter for Kraemer & Son, building bridges. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing on Gull Lake, bow hunting, hunting deer in Wisconsin and elk in New Mexico and Arizona.

Survivors include his mother, Harriet of Sauk Rapids; brothers, John (Kathy) of Cook, Mark (Theresa) of Bend, OR, Joel (Barbara) of Ninilchik, AK, and Peter (Cindy) of Maple Grove; nephews and niece, Nick, Corey, David, Danny, and Naomi. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Willard on Dec. 22, 1993.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society in honor of his father.
