DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche skated past the Minnesota Wild en route to a 7-2 victory Saturday night at Pepsi Center.

Minnesota's only goals came from Eric Staal at the end of the 1st and second periods. Jason Zucker had an assist on both goals.

Colorado found success on the powerplay, scoring on 3 of 4 opportunities with the extra-man.

The WIld host Calgary on Tuesday at Xcel Energy Center.
