The Minnesota Wild have traded Darroll Powe and Nick Palmieri to the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Mike Rupp.

Powe, 27, played 90 games over two seasons for the Wild and contributed six goals and seven assists. Powe's main asset was his performance as a penalty killer.

Palmieri had four goals and three assists in 38 games for Minnesota last season.

Rupp is a 33-year old who has posted 94 points in 565 career games with the Rangers, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Columbus and Phoenix.
