ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild stormed the Dallas Stars last night. Getting a 5-1 victory at home.

The Wild wasted no time scoring, getting the first goal of the game just 12 seconds in. Cooke took advantage of a turnover to quickly give the Wild the momentum. Cooke would score again later in the period to make it 2-0.

Rookies Justin Fontaine and Mathew Dumba both scored their first NHL goals in the victory. Nino Niederreiter also scored his first goal as a member of the Minnesota Wild.

 

Josh Harding made 18 saves in front of the net to pick up his second win this season.

The Wild will be away from home tomorrow night to take on the Buffalo Sabres. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
