The Minnesota Wild have re-signed center Chad Rau to a 2-year contract and agreed to terms on a 1-year contract with left wing Stephane Veilleux.  Veilleux returned to the Wild in a trade with New Jersey in February.  Rau scored 2 goals in 9 games for the Wild last season.  He's an Eden Prairie native.

The Wild have also offered qualifying offers to 8 offers players including Guillaume Latendresse.  The Wild reportedly are trying to work out a 1-year incentive laden contract for Latendresse.  NHL free agency begins on July 1.  Minnesota is expected to pursue expected free agent Zach Parise.
