The Minnesota Wild found a way to score more than a pair of goals in a road game then hung on to a three goal lead late in a win over Phoenix.

The Minnesota Wild scored goals on two of their first three shots of the game in a 4-3 win at Phoenix Thursday night. Dany Heatley scored a pair of goals in the win.

Rookie forward Jason Zucker started the scoring for Minnesota with a goal on the game's first shot at 1:35 of the opening period. Heatley scored again on the game's third shot later in the first to give the Wild a 2-0 lead at the intermission.

Heatley and defenseman Jared Spurgeon notched goals in the second period to make the score 4-1 through two.

The Coyotes got a pair of goals late in the third period to make it a nail-biter, but Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom held strong for the win.
