SAN JOSE - Joe Thornton scored his second goal of the game in overtime as the San Jose Sharks defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 on Saturday night.

Matt Cooke and Keith Ballard both scored for Minnesota in the action, Darcy Kuemper made 29 saves.

The Wild earned a game point by going into overtime.

The San Jose Sharks are now on a six-game winning streak and are now 34-12-6 this year. The Wild currently sit in 4th place in the Central Division with a 28-20-6 record.

Minnesota will return to the ice in Anaheim on Tuesday night to battle the Ducks. Puck drop is 9:00 p.m.
