DENVER - The Minnesota Wild lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night, falling 4-3 in overtime at the Pepsi Center.

P.A. Parenteau tied the game 3-3 with just 1:14 left to play after goalie Semyon Varlamov was pulled for the extra attacker. Nathan MacKinnon hit the overtime goal at 3:27 in the extra period to give Colorado the win.

Zach Parise and Kyle Brodziak both scored early in the third period to give the Wild a 3-2 lead at the time.

Colorado now leads the series 3-2. The Wild will return home and hope to force a game seven with a win. Game six is set for Monday night at 8:00 p.m. at the Xcel. You can hear all the action on AM1390 The Fan.
