ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild lost to the Vancouver Canucks Saturday afternoon 4-2.

Late in the first period Wild defensemen Ryan Suter, took a penalty and left the team down a man to start the 2nd.

Just :19 seconds into the 2nd period the Canucks broke the 0-0 deadlock with a power-play goal. By the end of the 2nd the Wild would find themselves down 4-0.

The Wild eventually broke through with less than 3 minutes remaining. in the game when Suter scored at 17:19 of the 3rd. Eric Staal would score his 25th of the season before the game was over, but it was to little to late.

The Wild play another early afternoon game Sunday at 11:30 in Detroit.
