The Minnesota Wild topped the San Jose Sharks 3-1 Sunday night at the X despite being outshot 38-13 in the game.  Goalie Josh Harding made 36 saves to earn the win for the Wild.

The Wild and Sharks were scoreless after one, with San Jose outshooting Minnesota 11-5. The Sharks outshot the Wild 21-6 in the second period, but Minnesota scored the second period’s only two goals.

Zach Parise scored his 13th goal of the season on a rebound at 3:55 of the second on a shot off of the stick of Jason Pominville, who was credited with an assist. Mikko Koivu sniped a goal just under the crossbar at 8:11 to give Minnesota a 2-0 lead.

The Sharks got on the board with less than two minutes left in regulation before Parise completed the scoring with an empty net goal.

The Wild are now 18-9-5 on the season and are back in action on Wednesday when they play against the Ducks in Anaheim.
