CALGARY - The Minnesota Wild fought to get the game to overtime, but ultimately fell to the Calgary Flames 4-3 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday night.

Mikael Backlund scored 2:25 into overtime to give the Flames the 4-3 victory.

Matt Cooke gave the Wild their first score with a shorthanded goal in the second period.

The Wild struck back with two goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation to get the game to overtime and earn a point. Dany Heatley and Keith Ballard both scored to make it a 3-3 tie.

The Wild are now 29-21-7 this year. They return home for two games before taking a break for the Olympics. Minnesota will face the Tampa Bay Lightning next at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
