The Minnesota Wild came back to earn a point but fell 3-2 in a shootout against the Blues Sunday night at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild bounced back from an early 2-0 deficit with a pair of second period goals to bring the game to overtime.

Jason Pominville cut the Blues lead to 2-1 with a goal just over three minutes into the second period. Pominville’s 23rd of the season was assisted by Zach Parise and Ryan Suter.

New acquisition Matt Moulson scored the game tying goal just under four minutes later on a deflection of a pass from Mikko Koivu past goaltender Brian Elliott.

Neither team scored in the third period or overtime, and the Blues won the shootout round 2-0.

St. Louis is now 18-0-1 against the Central Division.

The Wild are 34-22-8 and will host Edmonton Tuesday night.
