ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Wild won for the eighth time in their last nine games - a 6-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night.

Devan Dubnyk notched his 19th win of the season, stopping 27 shots in the victory.

Minnesota came out firing on all cylinders, gaining a 3-1 first period lead after two goals by Thomas Vanek and one by Jordan Schroeder.

Nate Prosser extended the lead to 4-1 before Carolina made a bit of a comeback in the second period, scoring 2 goals later in the period.

Leading 4-3, the Wild retook a commanding lead with goals by Erik Haula and Zach Parise en route to the 6-3 final.

With the win, the Wild improve to 28-20-7 on the season - good for the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
