What is Your City Curfew?

Curfew? What's that?  Did you know that your city had a curfew? It's true. In our area, curfew's are imposed for kids, not adults.  The reason we decided to look into this, is with it being summer, and the Pokemon Go! rage, are kids out past curfew? Are they in public parks and places? Here's a list of curfew times in our area, and what each cities terms are:

Saint Cloud

It is unlawful for a juvenile under the age of 16 to be present in any establishment or public place within the City of St. Cloud from 10 pm to 5 am, unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult, returning to or from employment, in an emergency, or attending a recreational or educational activity with a supervisory public entity taking responsibility for the juvenile.  Also it is unlawful for juveniles age 16-17 to be present in any establishment Sunday through Thursday 11 pm to 5 am, and Friday's and Saturdays from midnight to 5 am. So parents, your curfew time for them to be home is OKAY!

Sauk Rapids

It is unlawful for any minor under the age of 16 to be on the streets or in public after 10 pm unless accompanies by parent, guardian or responsible adult. This is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.

Sartell

No person under the age of 18 shall be on any public street or alley, in any park or other public grounds or building, place of amusement, entertainment or refreshment, vacant lot or any other unsupervised place between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am the following day, with the exceptions of returning from his/her place of employment, emergency, or returning from a planned school activity or other voluntary association activity. Any minor convicted of a violation is guilty of a petty misdemeanor and could be fined up to $200. (I don't think you need to worry...You're kid would have to be up to no good in order to be convicted.

Saint Joe

16 yrs and under 9:30 pm May through September and 10:30 pm June through August.

Waite Park

Curfew hours in Waite Park is for juveniles under the age of 18 are in efffect from 11 pm to 6 am Sunday through Thursday, and basically Midnight to 6 am on Saturdays and Sundays, unless accompanied by a guardian, parent or responsible adult.

Other similar city curfews:

• Princeton:  15 yrs old and under 10 pm to 5 am, 16 yrs old between midnight and 5 am
• Zimmerman:  15  yrs old and under 10 pm to 5 am, 16 yrs old between midnight and 5 am
• Becker: 16 yrs old and under 10:30 pm to 5 am, 17 yrs old between midnight and 5 am
• Big Lake: 14 yrs and under 10 pm to 5 am, ages 15-17 midnight to 5 am
• Elk River: 15 yrs old 10 pm to 5 am, ages 16-17 midnight to 5 am
