PAYNESVILLE (AP) -- The parents of an 11-year-old St. Joseph boy abducted in 1989 are holding a community meeting to help central Minnesota residents cope with recent developments in the case.

Daniel James Heinrich was charged last month with four counts of child pornography possession and also named a person of interest in Jacob Wetterling's disappearance. Wetterling hasn't been seen since he was abducted near his St. Joseph home on October 22nd, 1989.

Patty and Jerry Wetterling have organized a meeting in Paynesville on Monday. Paynesville police chief Paul Wegner says it's a chance for residents to help those impacted and share resources.

A string of unsolved sexual assaults on young Paynesville boys preceded Jacob Wetterling's disappearance.
