Wayne A. Skinner, 52, Sartell

May 31, 1963 - December 20, 2015

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud for Wayne A. Skinner, age 52, of Sartell who passed away on Sunday after a battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Wayne was born on May 31, 1963 in Sartell to Robert and Gayle (Ohman) Skinner. He grew up in a large, loving family with three brothers and one sister. He graduated from Sartell High School in 1981. Wayne worked for St Cloud Times and Gannett Offset for 34 years. He married Lisa Gabrielson on August 10, 1996 in Litchfield. They enjoyed raising their son Josh, and then welcomed Niki and Sami into their home. His children remember their Dad as kind, patient, and witty who most of all encouraged them to pursue their goals. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He loved kids and often found him outside playing with the kids or holding the new babies in the family. Wayne loved to talk and tell stories, he had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa of Sartell; children, Josh (Suwanna Paulson) of St. Cloud, Nicole of Sartell, Samantha of Sartell; siblings, Tom (Judy) of Rice, Vicki (Tom) Bialka of Opole, Jeff (Janet) of Sartell, Brad (Donna) of St. Stephen; in-laws, Buck and Sandy Gabrielson of Litchfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Gayle Skinner.
