Watkins Boy Hurt In Dirt Bike Crash

WATKINS -- A Watkins boy was hurt after crashing his dirt bike into a tree this weekend.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the 66300 block of 362nd Street in Forest Prairie Township.

Reports say the 10-year-old boy was not wearing a helmet when he crashed his dirt bike headfirst into a tree.

He was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was determined to have non-life threatening injuries.
