ST. JOSEPH - You can't buy a bottle of water at the College of St. Benedict.  They've become the first college in Minnesota, and only one of nine in the country, to ban the sale of plain, plastic bottled water.

The policy includes the elimination of all bottled water from vending machines, and the sales will be discontinued in the bookstore, dining venues, and athletic events.  Campus offices will no longer have traditional water coolers.

As an alternative, 31 hydration stations have been installed throughout the campus.
