WAITE PARK - Waite Park city officials are proposing a slight increase in the city's general budget for 2013.  City Administrator Shaunna Johnson says the proposed budget is just over $5,044,000 -- that's about a 1.54% increase over this year's nearly $5 million budget.

The extra money would come from an increased property tax levy of 1.56%

Johnson says it's too soon to tell how this might affect home owners.  She says they won't know how much taxes will increase or decrease for individual homes until the property tax valuations come out from the county next month.
