Waite Park Police Chief: Extra Patrols Planned at Theater [AUDIO]

WAITE PARK – The movies will go on a the Marcus Parkwood Theatres in Waite Park, but security will be beefed-up.
That, after a mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado overnight killed 12 people and hurt more than 50 others. Police have jailed a gunman who is thought to have acted alone in the shooting at a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Waite Park Police Chief Dave Bentrud says he’s been in contact today (Friday) with the owners of the Parkwood Marcus Theatres.

Bentrud says his department hasn’t trained specifically at the movie theater, but they are prepared to respond to tragedies like the one in Aurora, Colorado.

Marcus officials say all movies will be shown as scheduled at the Waite Park complex.
