WAITE PARK - Rick Miller has big plans for Waite Park in his next term as mayor.  Miller ran unopposed in last week's election.

He says a top priority is the extension of 18th Avenue behind Menard's.

He says he also wants to get the Lake Wobegon Trail extended into Waite Park during his next two-year term.

He says all of those projects are dependent on the state legislature allowing the St. Cloud metro area extend the half-cent sales tax.

Miller says he ran for re-election because, "he's still enjoying it, and it's a fun and interesting job."

He was Waite Park's mayor from 1996-2001, he won re-election to the seat in 2008 and has held the position since then.  He says what he's most proud of, since getting his job back, is "keeping the city out of the news for anything negative."
