Waite Park Man Arrested For Arson

WAITE PARK -- A Waite Park man was arrested on suspicion of arson after a house fire Wednesday morning.

Waite Park Police and Fire responded to a house fire at 10 9th Avenue North at about 9:20 Wednesday morning. The fire was discovered on the back side of the home which was unoccupied at the time.

Fire crews put out the fire and determined it was arson.

Police arrested 21-year-old Tim Gilles who is a tenant of the home.

He faces charges of first degree arson. Police say damage to the house was minimal.
