WAITE PARK -- Waite Park officials are looking at what it would take to clean up a vacant piece of land and make it a future park.

During Monday's Work Session the council and park board discussed the potential uses for the site and what it would cost to clean up the site and bring it up to code.

City Administrator Shaunna Johnson says the city was approached by the property owner about donating the land on 2005 Frontage Road, near Anton's, to the city for public use.

The park board has toured the property and talked about using the green house on site for a garden club and possibly making it a location for a farmer's market.

No action was taken at this time. Johnson says they plan to spend the next several months discussing and evaluating the site.
