WAITE PARK - The City of Waite Park kicked off it's 50th Annual Family Fun Fest with a Kids Fishing Contest at the Rock Island Park Pond on Sunday.

The Fun Fest will run through Saturday, June 14th, with events scheduled through the week.

Festivities will continue on Monday with a medallion hunt and geocache contest. Clues for the medallion hunt will be posted on the Waite Park City website. There will be multiple locations around the city for the geocache contest, location cards can be picked up at the City Hall building.

Some of the other events during the week include a disc golf tournament, a city wide garage sale, a car show and music in the park.

The celebration ends on Saturday with the Grand Day Parade and an outdoor concert in the Community Park with music from The White Lightnin' Band and The Fabulous Armadillos.
