WAITE PARK -- The Waite Park City Council voted unanimously in favor of setting aside $250,000 to create the Third Street Development Fund.

The money is to be used for land acquisition and new developments which will expire in 2016.

The council also voted unanimously to approve a grant request that will allow site preparation for Rejuv Medical's expansion.

The council decided to approve the $145,000 request to help pay for property improvements at 301 Great Oak Drive.

The fitness company intends to build their second Waite Park clinic at the Great Oak Drive site in two phases, costing a total of about $2 million. Rejuv is looking to expand to accommodate their growing demand.

Council member, Frank Theisen says this is the first project of its kind for the city.

If the money is not used it will be placed into a general fund.
