Volunteers Show Community Support For Day of Caring [AUDIO,VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD — The United Way of Central Minnesota is celebrating their annual Day of Caring today (Thursday).

More than 350 volunteers are out in the community helping with projects like painting, gardening and more.

Most of the volunteers were given the day off from work to help give back to the community.

This morning the United Way held  a kick-off breakfast at 7:30 a.m. to get the group excited for the long day ahead.

Jessica Johnson says the volunteers will be doing about $25,000 worth of work during the Day of Caring.
