Funeral services will be at 2PM on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Virginia “Ginny” L. Joy, 69, of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Galesburg, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home in St. Cloud on Sunday.

Ginny was born on April 3, 1948 in Galesburg, IL to William A. and Helen V. (Cronin) Miller. Following high school graduation, Ginny continued her education by obtaining a degree as a Radiology Technician. She married the love of her life, Larry Joy, on December 14, 1968 in Wichita, KS. Ginny worked as a Radiology Technician, most recently at the CentraCare Clinic in Becker until her retirement in 2011. She passionately volunteered for a women’s and children’s shelter in Texas. Ginny enjoyed gardening flowers and select vegetables, reading, keeping up with current events, traveling, searching on her IPad, shopping, day trips to the casino, and interior decorating. Ginny will be remembered best for her loving, compassionate, nurturing, mentoring, and had a fun personality. Above all else, her family always came first in her life.

Ginny is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry of St. Cloud; mother, Helen Miller of Waite Park; siblings, Dan (Anne) of Ely, IA, Trish (Kurt) Brintlinger of St. Cloud, Jo-Anne Miller of Ocean Springs, MS; nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews; and beloved four-legged companion, Joey.

She was preceded in death by her father, William; and brother, Richard.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Tri County Human Society or Anna Marie’s Alliance.
