Virgil “Skipper” R. Deyo, 73 , St. Cloud

Virgil “Skipper” R. Deyo, age 73, St. Cloud, MN, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Skipper was born to Lester and Betty Deyo in Seattle, Washington on August 28, 1943. The family moved to Browns Valley, MN in 1946. Skipper moved out of the house and into a group home in 1959. He loved to color, work puzzles, watch the birds, play cards and he truly enjoyed working at ICI. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include, brothers, Don (Sylvie) Deyo of Mahtomedi, MN, Dean (Carrie) Deyo of Hudson WI; sister, Cathie (Erv) Kallstrom of Kerkhoven, MN, nephews Todd Kallstrom, Bret Kallstrom, Chad Kallstrom, Steven Deyo and Trevor Deyo; nieces, Laura Fiebing and Traci Deyo Meyer and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Richard Deyo.
