Villard Man Killed in Crash in Pope County

VILLARD - There was a deadly crash in Pope county this (Tuesday) morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened just before 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 28 and 150th Street, south of Villard.

Seventy-five year old Clifford Euerle of Villard was killed in the crash.  Fifty-one-year-old James Hoppe of Freeport was not hurt.

The State Patrol says Euerle's car stopped at the stop sign on 150th Street, then pulled out in front of Hoppe's truck and was struck broadside.
