The Minnesota Vikings released kicker Blair Walsh Tuesday morning. Walsh had been with the team since being selected in the sixth round of the 2016 draft.

Walsh put together a fantastic rookie season in which he made an NFL-high 35 field goals and was 10/10 from 50 yards or more. However, Walsh saw his field goal percentage slip to 74.3% in 2014, and he missed a potential game-winning 27 yard field goal in the 2015 playoffs against Seattle.

The Vikings had a number of kickers at their Eden Prairie training facility last week, but have not announced Walsh's replacement yet. The Vikings host the Arizona Cardinals Sunday (12 p.m.; AM 1240 WJON).
