Vikings’ Owner Denied Appeal On Wealth Disclosure

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey appeals court has refused to hear arguments by Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf that his family's net worth should be kept private.

The Wilfs have long kept their finances private even as the family won public subsidies to build a new stadium for their National Football League franchise.

But an order that the Wilfs disclose their fortune stems from a lawsuit brought against them by former partners in a 1980s real estate project. A judge found in September that the Wilfs had defrauded the ex-partners and ordered them to pay $84.5 million in damages.

The appeals court allowed their net worth to remain sealed until a final judgment is issued in the lawsuit.

A family attorney says he'll ask the judge to delay the release until the full appeal of the case.
