ST. PAUL (AP) - As the Minnesota Vikings pour concrete for their new stadium, they're thinking about how to get fans in the door in an era when watching at home on HDTV is so easy - and so much cheaper.

They're developing a smartphone app aimed at giving fans better experiences with traffic and parking, and delivering exclusive content to them inside the stadium.

Vikings' marketing director Steve LaCroix says they'll be watching to see what works and what doesn't with the San Francisco 49ers' GameDay app, which will be integrated into their new stadium this summer.

While the Vikings are a little leery of using their app for in-seat ordering of food and drinks, they see a lot of value in using it to bring data quickly to fans.
