The Vikings announced an agreement with Ramsey County to build a retractable roof stadium at the former Army Amunitions plant site in Arden Hills.  The project is projected to cost $1.28 Billion with the Vikings paying for $407 Million or 44 percent of the cost.  Ramsey County has committed to pay for $350 Million or 33 percent and state is being asked to pay for $300 Million or 23 percent.  Ramsey County plans a 1/2 cent sales tax increase in the county to pay for their portion.  The site consists of 260 acres and the stadium would reside on 1.6 million square footage.  Viking owner Zigi Wilf plans on having 21,000 parking spaces on the site.  The Stadium still needs approval from the state legislature. Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton says he would support a stadium in downtown Minneapolis or Arden Hills for up to $300 Million.
