The Vikings activated running back Adrian Peterson from the physically unable to perform list Sunday.  Peterson is coming back from a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee and has been ahead of schedule in his rehab.  Peterson was able to practice with the Vikings Sunday but cannot practice in pads until Tuesday because of the new collective bargaining agreement prohibits practicing in full pads for 2 days for players that have been activated from the PUP list.

Peterson is eager to play and sounded excited about being back.  Peterson isn't expected to play Friday against Buffalo but could appear in the Vikings' 3rd preseason game against San Diego.  Minnesota will host Buffalo at 7pm Friday in the 2nd preseason game, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 5:00.
