Viking Electric Plans To Open A Waite Park Location

WAITE PARK -- Viking Electric Supply is looking to open a retail store and warehouse at 625 1st Street South in Waite Park. The company is in the business of making electrical supplies for contractors.

The Waite Park Planning Commission is holding a public hearing Tuesday night to consider rezoning a multifamily property to be used for general commercial use.

The property was originally zoned for multifamily housing in 2012. Inventure Properties currently owns the land and is requesting that the Planning Commission plat the property.

Viking Electric wants to use lot two for their retail and warehouse space. Lot one would remain multifamily housing and lot two would be a B-2 General Use property.

If the request is granted the site plan would be redesigned to include 38 parking spaces and drainage. The Planning Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
