Victoria “Vickie” A. Brandes, 69, Clear Lake

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake for Victoria “Vickie” Ann Brandes, 69 of Clear Lake who passed away on Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate at burial will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Darwin. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday morning. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker.

Victoria was born on February 26, 1945 in Minneapolis to James and Alberta (Dean) Casey. She was united in marriage to Mark Brandes on June 28, 1974 at St. Mary of the Lake in Plymouth. Vickie was an elementary school teacher for the Becker School District for 23 years. Prior to that she worked in the Wayzata schools for ten years. She was a member of St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake. Vickie enjoyed reading, fishing and Minnesota Twins baseball.

Survivors include her husband, Mark of Clear Lake; sister, Kathleen Johnson of Plymouth and brother, James (Roberta) Casey of New Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Casey.
