Victor F. Koenig, 87, St. Cloud

July 10, 1929 - May 16, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Victor F. Koenig, age 87 of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Arlington Place in St. Joseph. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 4:30 p.m. followed by the St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622 at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Victor was born on July 10, 1929 in St. Augusta, Minnesota to Joseph and Mary (Kieke) Koenig. He married Anna M. Garding on April 22, 1954 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Vic was employed as a truck driver for Big Bear, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622.

Vic was very active in the Albany Pioneer Days and Western Minnesota Steam Thresher’s Reunion in Rollag. His greatest love was his family.

Vic is survived by his children, Amy (Brad) Meyer of St. Cloud, Jon (Linda) of Hewitt; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Pfannenstein of Rockville; and brother, David of Waite Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna; brothers, Eugene and James; and sister, Alice Och.
