Veterans Bridge Closes Following Reports of Suicidal Man

ST. CLOUD - Authorities shut down Veteran's Bridge today for half an hour after reports of a suicidal man.

St. Cloud police say that they were called to the bridge at about 12:45 this afternoon.

The man was found sitting on the railing and threatening to jump.

A crisis negotiator was called to the scene, and after 30 minutes, the man was convinced to come down.

He was then taken to St. Cloud Hospital for evaluation.
