Argument Allegedly Turns Physical, Leads to Arrest
CLEARWATER -- A Clearwater man has been arrested for allegedly using a knife in a domestic argument.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded just before 9:30 a.m. yesterday morning (Wednesday), at the 1500 block of Dunmore Circle in Lynden Township.
The victim says she had been involved in a verbal argument the night before, with 25-year-old Michael Melbie, of Clearwater.
The argument became physical.
The victim says Melbie grabbed a large knife in a sheath and pressed it against the victim's thigh. The knife penetrated the sheath and cut the victim.
Officers found Melbie inside the home and placed him under arrest for alleged Second Degree Assault.
