Abby Faulkner

ST. CLOUD – Veterans and their loved ones gathered together tonight at the VA Health Care System in tribute to the end of the Iraq War.

The evening included speakers and a reception, as well as a memory book for vets and their families for adding their own word and photos.

Mike Mynczywor is the VA’s Program Manager for the Operation¬† Enduring and Iraqi Freedom department and one of the masters of the ceremony. He says this is a milestone that demands recognition.

Mynczywor says roughly 54% of Iraq vets seek the care they’re eligable for. Ultimately, he says, the goal is to remind vets and families that the VA will be there to support them whenever needed.
