SARTELL - A closed bar and sports destination in Sartell is getting new life. Amanda and Andy Scott have bought the "Upper Deck Sports Bar and Grill".

Andy Scott says they've talked about buying the business for some time now.

Years ago we played here for a number of seasons. We had said if any place ever came up for sale, we talked about this place. And then when it came up for sale, it was like 'alright let's do it'.

The Upper Deck has been closed since 2014.

The Scotts have been working primarily on the inside of the building so far, installing a new floor, kitchen, and bathrooms.

Andy Scott says the bar will offer a full menu.

Appetizers, burgers, pizzas and the soon-to-be-famous Dugout Dog. It's a half-pound frank. So if you're interested in eating a giant hotdog, it will be on the menu.

They're opening tomorrow (Thursday), and have a volleyball tournament scheduled for this Saturday.

The Scotts say, with four courts available, they'll focus on volleyball leagues for this summer. They say the may have the softball fields ready by this fall, but for sure next summer.

The Upper Deck will be open at 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sunday. They plan to be open your round.
