UPDATE: St. Cloud Police Investigate Apparent Homicide

[/caption]ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police have released more information about the murder in St. Cloud this (Thursday) morning.

The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Geraldine Bennett.

The suspect is her son, 40-year-old Chad Pulju of Rosemount.  Pulju is being held in the Stearns County Jail and is expected to be charged with 2nd degree homicide.

The victim's husband, Pulju's step-father, was inside the home at the time of the incident and is cooperating with the investigation.

Officers were called to the home in the 2700 block of Atwood Drive just after midnight.

They say there was a disturbance call of two people arguing.  They found Bennett had life threatening injuries from an apparent edged weapon.  She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where she later died from her wounds.
