ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police have released more information about the explosive device that was found on Saturday.

Sergeant Jason Burke says the item was consistent with a "cricket" bomb, or an explosive device made from an empty CO2 cartridge.  The device did not contain any shrapnel, and had a non-timer type fuse.

On Saturday officers blocked off an area near 29th Avenue after someone found the suspicious item.  Homes in that area were also evacuated.  The Crow Wing Bomb Squad was called in and detonated the device.

There have been no arrests in the case.
